In the wedding world, we are always seeing new trends pop up. It’s inevitable and it’s a huge part of what keeps our jobs fresh + fun! The trends we tend to see most generally pertain to bridal + bridesmaid fashion as well as overall wedding design (color schemes/themes/etc.). Until recently, very rarely did we get to explore variety when it came to the groom + his main men. Now we’re seeing grooms start to get more creative + showcase their personality in the form of variety tuxes, snazzy socks, trendy ties/bowties, etc. I decided that I wanted to get in on some of these new ‘groom glam‘ trends. I thought, what are some staple items that are mandatory for grooms + how can we make them unique?
First thought? Boutonnières.
They may be small, but boy, are they mighty! Boutonnières (french for “buttonholes”) can make a big statement by allowing the groom’s personality to shine and by adding a punch of color + decor to groom + groomsmen lapels.
